We present an implementation of the viscoplastic self-consistent (VPSC) polycrystalline model in an implicit finite element (FE) framework, which accounts for a dislocation-based hardening law for multiple slip and twinning modes at the micro-scale grain level. The model is applied to simulate the macro-scale mechanical response of a highly anisotropic low-symmetry (orthorhombic) crystal structure. In this approach, a finite element integration point represents a polycrystalline material point and the meso-scale mechanical response is obtained by the mean-field VPSC homogenization scheme. We demonstrate the accuracy of the FE-VPSC model by analyzing the mechanical response and microstructure evolution of α-uranium samples under simple compression/tension and four-point bending tests. Predictions of the FE-VPSC simulations compare favorably with experimental measurements of geometrical changes and microstructure evolution. Specifically, the model captures accurately the tension–compression asymmetry of the material associated with twinning, as well as the rigidity of the material response along the hard-to-deform crystallographic orientations.  相似文献

Compared to quasi-static loading concrete loaded by higher loading rates acts in a different way. There is an influence of strain-rate and inertia on resistance, failure mode and crack pattern. With increase of loading rate failure mode changes from mode-I to mixed mode. Moreover, theoretical and numerical investigations indicate that after the crack reaches critical velocity there is progressive increase of resistance and crack branching. These phenomena have recently been demonstrated and discussed by O?bolt et al. (2011) on numerical study of compact tension specimen (CTS) loaded by different loading rates. The aim of the present paper is to experimentally verify the results obtained numerically. Therefore, the tests and additional numerical studies on CTS are carried out. The experiments fully confirm the results of numerical prediction discussed in O?bolt et al. (2011). The same as in the numerical study it is shown that for strain rates lower than approximately 50/s the structural response is controlled by the rate dependent constitutive law, however, for higher strain rates crack branching and progressive increase of resistance is observed. This is attributed to structural inertia and not the rate dependent strength of concrete. Maximum crack velocity of approximately 800 m/s is measured before initiation of crack branching. The comparison between numerical and experimental results shows that relatively simple modeling approach based on continuum mechanics, rate dependent microplane model and standard finite elements is capable to realistically predict complex phenomena related to dynamic fracture of concrete.  相似文献

A numerical study is performed of the oblique reflection of a surface acoustic wave from a strip of finite width deposited on the surface of a half-infinite substrate. The finite element method is used. If the strip–substrate contact supports waveguide modes with the velocity exceeding the surface wave velocity on the free surface of the substrate, then an interval of angles of incidence exists where the surface wave efficiently excites a waveguide mode. The excitation of the waveguide mode is accompanied by a singular behavior of the reflection and the transmission coefficients. The dependence of the magnitude and the phase of the coefficients on the angle of incidence, the frequency, the width and the thickness of the strip is examined. In particular, it is found that the magnitude of the reflection coefficient abruptly almost vanishes and abruptly increases almost to unity within the resonance interval of angles of incidence.  相似文献

以任意拉森数的超薄气体润滑方程为基础,采用算子分裂法和非结构三角网格的有限元法计算Ω型磁头的空气轴承气垫面(ABS)气膜压强分布、气浮力和纵倾力矩;在分析比较流量系数的各种算法的基础上,确定采用多项式拟合数据库计算流量系数.计算结果表明:采用算子分裂法可以有效克服在高轴承数时的数值不稳定性,消除数值振荡;在小轴承数时,气浮力随轴承数增加而增大,当轴承数增大到某一数值后,气浮力趋近某一稳定值,此时气膜压强分布与磁头造型基本一致;气膜的纵倾力矩在轴承数的某一临界值附近出现最大值.  相似文献

We present and analyze a robust preconditioned conjugate gradient method for the higher order Lagrangian finite element systems of a class of elliptic problems. An auxiliary linear element stiffness matrix is chosen to be the preconditioner for higher order finite elements. Then an algebraic multigrid method of linear finite element is applied for solving the preconditioner. The optimal condition number which is independent of the mesh size is obtained. Numerical experiments confirm the efficiency of the algorithm.  相似文献

提出了一种基础动力分析的半解析、半数值计算方法.采用Lamb解及其相应的近似公式,建立了基础动反力和位移的关系式.从而可象静力问题那样将基础板分离出来,将板看作上部作用已知载荷,下部作用用挠度表示的地基反力,因此只需要对板进行有限元分析.采用这种方法分析了不同形状、 不同刚度、不同频率下的地基板的振动问题, 而且可以考虑基础埋深的影响.算例分析表明,提出的方法是一种计算简便、精度较高、适用范围广泛的有效数值方法.  相似文献

应用电感耦合等离子体发射光谱技术,建立了定量测试明胶中微量金属元素Hg和Rh的方法。采用湿法消解对明胶样品进行前处理。讨论了ICP-AES同时测定明胶中微量金属元素Hg和Rh时,应用MSF模型校正对汞的光谱干扰和背景干扰,改善了检测结果的精密度和检测限。实验结果表明,建立的方法准确、快速、高效、线性范围宽,得到的分析结果令人满意。  相似文献
